Alternatives to Punishment
This strategy is super simple, but also really important.
Provide feedback to your child as soon as you observe behaviours that are appropriate or inappropriate. This helps guide your child to learn about what behaviours are expected of them.
Delaying feedback reduces the impact of your words as a reinforcer for behaviour.
