Regularly practicing calming techniques supports your child’s emotional development, develops their self regulation skills and builds their resilience.

When your children practice these skills, they become equipped to better process and regulate challenging emotions such as angry, frustrated, sad, embarrassed, overwhelmed and anxious.

Calming techniques are particularly useful for helping your child:

  • Start the day calm
  • Reduce separation anxiety (e.g. at drop-off)
  • Transition off screens
  • Calm down before bed

Calming Cards are designed to introduce you (and your little ones!) to calming techniques.

Calming strategies include Deep Breathing, Muscle Relaxation, Grounding, Visualisation, Yoga and Mindfulness.

Calming Cards can be used in a variety of contexts, including:

  • A calming corner (or calming space) in your home
  • Out and about
  • Calming activities before bed
  • Classrooms
  • Day Care Centres

Cards are printed on 350gsm card with matte laminate finish. Card dimensions 95mm x 130mm.

    This cards are brilliant, great techniques to use for the little emotions. I’ve got 3 different type kids and they work great for my older two and just about time to used them on my youngest with his terrible twos!

    The calming cards are fantastic. My children work well with visuals and need help with emotional regulation. We have been practising these cards and am happy with the results.
