My 3 Favourite Pregnancy Meditations
I’ve mentioned in a few blog posts now that I try to regularly practice pregnancy meditations as a way to reduce the anxiety I experience about the possibility of experiencing miscarriage.
I do find them pretty effective, but I must admit, I don’t get around to doing them every day.
Anyway, whenever I have the time, I try out a new meditation and (if it’s one I’ve enjoyed) I add it to our youtube playlist.
But today, I thought I’d share my 3 favourite go-to meditations with you. These are the ones I use when I want a pregnancy-specific meditation that I know is good and is going to result in me feeling as calm and relaxed as I can for the rest of the day.
So here goes:
I like how this one starts off with the breathing exercises, and the music is soft and soothing.
This one is similar in that it starts with breathing exercises. I like that this one has a female voice, and helps you focus on letting go of the thoughts you don’t need to concentrate on.
I just discovered this last one on Wednesday and I’ve only tried it once. I think I idenitfy with this one because of the Aussie accent, and I find it easy to listen to. It’s also pretty handy because it’s a little less than 6 minutes long so quick and easy to fit into your day if you have a lot on!
You might notice that these meditations encourage you to sit cross legged. I usually just lay down on the floor as I find that the most comfortable (except this morning when my sciatica decided I wasn’t allowed to lay on my back!)
So, those are my 3 favourite pregnancy meditations for now! There are others over on our youtube playlist, and every now and then when I find a new one I like, I add it to the list.
I’ve also got another playlist for general meditations (not pregnancy related) in case you are interested in those too!
Before you go, I would love to know if you have a favourite pregnancy meditation you use, or if there are particular strategies you use to relax and de-stress while pregnant (feel free to include any links in the comments section below!)

Off to check out the non pregnancy meditations, thanks!
I use guided meditation all the time for my bipolar and anxiety disorder and now my son is using it for his anxiety. It is such a valuable tool – I am so glad that you found it helpful too.
I’m not currently pregnant, but I know meditation is good for everyone so thanks for sharing! I don’t think I could do cross-legged either – I have such bad knees.

This is the first time I have ever heard of pregnancy mediation. I will have to keep this in mind for next time!
Great mediations. I love soothing music and voices. Sometimes in a meditation I can’t get past the voice enough actually focus on the meditation. I’m looking forward to checking out your general meditation playlist.
I don’t set aside enough time for meditation but I know if I did it consistently, I’d find it effective. I definitely need a guided form of meditation to keep my mind from flying away from me!
